Born and raised in Southwestern Connecticut, Dr. Kristan Ingraham is a proud UConn Husky as she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the UConn School of Dental Medicine. She completed her post-doctoral residency training in general dentistry through New York Medical College in Westchester, New York. Dr. Ingraham then went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry by completing her residency at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. Upon completion of her advanced education in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Ingraham received her program’s highest research award as well as an award for community outreach.
Dr. Ingraham is Board Certified, making her a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. This process involves having successfully completed two rigorous examinations as well as maintaining continuing education requirements. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kristan, as she is referred to by her patients, loves being a pediatric dentist. She is passionate about providing children with a safe and fun dental experience as well as educating parents about their child’s oral health, growth and development. She is compassionate, has patience and strives to provide excellent dental care to all of her patients. She especially loves working with patients who have special needs. Helping frightened children to overcome their dental fears and anxiety is the most rewarding part of her job.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kristan enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys volunteering at her church, eating out at restaurants and going on long walks with her husband. She loves to travel with her favorite vacations consisting of cruises to the Caribbean and trips to see her family in the Bahamas. Dr. Kristan also loves to bring the fun to the office by singing along to classic children’s songs and playing cute games with the kids to make them feel comfortable. She is looking forward to working with you and your child to facilitate a positive, healthy and happy dental experience.
